  4. These are the official rules of the WHOLLY_BIBLE Echo, and constitute the
  5. file WHOLLY.RUL.
  6.

  8. This is the WHOLLY_BIBLE Echo. The purpose of the Echo is to provide a place
  9. to discuss Bible based topics and to pass personal insight on the meanings
  10. of Scripture. We consider the Bible to be the primary source of information
  11. and material for discussion. This is a Christian Echo, and is biased
  12. towards the Christian point of view, but questioning is allowed.

  15. This is a discussional Echo with a few rules. Those few rules are:
  16.  
  17. 1.  Stay on-topic. Topics of Biblical revelations, personal insight,
  18.     discussions of the root meaning of the original words, discussion of the
  19.     sentence structure in the original tongue, and how different parts of
  20.     the Bible relate to each other are welcome. Others may also be, but will
  21.     be allowed at the discretion of the moderator.

  23. 2.  No politics [except as it relates to religious issues].
  24.  
  25. 3.  No profanity allowed, if you must use that type of language, take it
  26.     somewhere where it will be welcomed, and that somewhere is not here.
  27.  
  28. 4.  No personal attacks, name-calling, slurs or innuendo. Stick to issues not
  29.     personalities. It is very possible, in fact probable that in a group of
  30.     people, several will have irreconcilibile differences of opinion, and
  31.     that in those cases, we must agree to disagree, and then drop the
  32.     discussion between us in order to not escalate into a flame war. It is
  33.     possible to disagree, but let us not become disagreeable.

  35. 5.  This is a Christian Echo, attacks upon Christianity are not allowed.
  36.     Discussions of religions other than Christianity are off-topic.
  37.  
  38. 6.  Use of the Book of Mormon, New World Testament, and Watch Tower material
  39.     is not allowed in this echo, and is considered off-topic.

  41. 7.  No Private flagged messages in Echomail!
  42.  
  43. 8.  This Echo may be traveling around the world so try to be concise. Avoid
  44.     excessive quoting for one-liner responses.

  46. 9.  The posts in this Echo are the sole responsiblity of the poster. If you
  47.     need verification, use Netmail.

  49. 10. The Moderators will deal with off-topic traffic. Don't respond for them.
  50.     Links to this Echo will only be curtailed when absolutely necessary so
  51.     please don't make it necessary. [grin]

  54.     moderators, and your input will be considered, but please submit said
  55.     input via NetMail, as discussion of these rules in the echo is off
  56.     topic.
